Chennai, India – 2026
Kings Cornerstone International College (KCIC) has formally announced its academic affiliation with Medhavi Skills University (MSU), reinforcing its commitment to delivering nationally recognised, credit-based qualifications aligned with India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and the National Credit Framework (NCrF), including NHEQF and NSQF standards.
Through this affiliation, KCIC’s Year 1 and Year 2 business pathway qualifications will now be integrated within a structured, credit-based academic system recognised under national regulatory guidelines. This strategic development ensures that students enrolled in KCIC’s International Business Pathway (BBA & B.Com tracks) receive formally recognised skill certifications during their first two years of study in Chennai.
The collaboration aligns KCIC’s academic framework with:
- NEP 2020 principles of multidisciplinary learning and credit mobility
- The National Credit Framework (NCrF)
- National Higher Education Qualifications Framework (NHEQF)
- National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF)
This integration enhances academic portability, strengthens employability outcomes, and supports structured progression pathways both within India and internationally.
Students completing Year 1 and Year 2 at KCIC will benefit from credit accumulation and recognition under a nationally aligned framework before progressing to international partner universities such as UTS Sydney, RMIT University, University of Essex, or Ulster University, along with UK RQF Level 4 & 5 & Australian AQF Level 5 qualifications.
Speaking on the development, KCIC leadership emphasised that the affiliation reflects a forward-thinking approach to transnational education. By combining internationally aligned curricula with nationally recognised credit structures, KCIC ensures that students are not only prepared for global degree transfer but also supported within India’s evolving higher education ecosystem.
The affiliation strengthens three key pillars of KCIC’s academic model:
- Regulatory Alignment – Ensuring Year 1 and Year 2 qualifications are embedded within India’s formal credit and qualification frameworks.
- Academic Mobility – Supporting seamless progression to overseas partner universities through mapped credit pathways.
- Skills Recognition – Embedding skill-based certifications that reflect NEP 2020’s emphasis on employability and competency-driven learning.
As India transitions toward a more flexible, credit-based and skills-oriented higher education system, this partnership positions KCIC as a structured international pathway institution operating within both global and national academic standards.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in KCIC’s long-term strategy to deliver globally mobile yet nationally recognised qualifications for students in Chennai and beyond.
