New Delhi, 12 June 2017
On 12 June 2017, Kings Cornerstone International College (KCIC) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RMIT University, Australia, establishing a structured academic partnership to deliver the RMIT Transfer Programme. Since the signing of this agreement, KCIC has continuously facilitated academic progression pathways enabling students to begin their studies in Chennai and transfer to RMIT University in Melbourne.
The 2017 MOU marked a significant milestone in KCIC’s international education strategy, formalising collaboration with one of Australia’s leading public universities and creating a defined pathway for credit transfer into selected RMIT undergraduate degree programmes.
Structured Credit Transfer Pathways
Under the RMIT Transfer Programme, KCIC delivers UK RQF Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications that articulate into RMIT degree programmes in Engineering, Business, and Information Technology. Eligible students may receive advanced standing, allowing them to complete the remaining portion of their Bachelor’s degree at RMIT’s City Campus in Victoria, Australia, subject to academic and progression requirements.
Pathway degrees include:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours)
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Business with specialisation
The structured articulation arrangements provide defined credit recognition, enabling students to reduce the duration of study in Australia while maintaining access to a globally recognised Australian qualification.
Sustained Academic Collaboration
Since 2017, KCIC has continued to deliver the RMIT Transfer Programme with curriculum alignment, academic mapping and structured progression support. The partnership reflects a long-term commitment to transnational education built on quality assurance, academic integrity and international mobility.
Students benefit from:
• Recognised credit transfer pathways
• Reduced overseas study duration
• Academic continuity between Chennai and Melbourne
• Access to RMIT’s industry-linked, research-informed learning environment
Global Mobility with Local Foundation
The KCIC–RMIT collaboration exemplifies a forward-looking model of international higher education, enabling students to begin their academic journey in India and complete their degree in Australia through a defined and structured progression route.
As global demand continues to grow for cost-optimised international education pathways, the enduring partnership established in June 2017 remains central to KCIC’s mission of delivering internationally recognised qualifications through academically mapped transfer models.
Admissions are currently open for eligible cohorts seeking to enrol in the RMIT Transfer Programme.
