Program Overview
Delivered in collaboration with Heriot-Watt University, RMIT University, University of Technology Sydney, Elmhurst University, Ulster University, and Whitireia WelTec, New Zealand, this program offers a structured international transfer pathway towards a globally recognised Bachelor's degree in Computing and Information Technology.
The pathway begins with a question worth considering: why pay a full first-year international fee abroad when much of that year revisits foundational concepts already encountered at school? KCIC addresses this by delivering the first one or two years in India, allowing students to transfer abroad for Year 3 and Year 4 — reducing overall program cost by up to 60% without compromising the final degree outcome.
The first year at KCIC is uniquely flexible, with students studying common computing subjects aligned across all partner universities. In the second year, students select their specialisation — from Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, to Artificial Intelligence — alongside their destination and university.
Partner degrees span the UK, Australia, USA, and New Zealand, and are accredited by BCS and the Australian Computer Society, ensuring professional recognition for graduates across global technology markets.
Further studies / Careers
Progressing to a Master's at RMIT, UTS, Heriot-Watt, or Ulster after your Bachelor's offers advanced standing or accelerated entry, enabling completion within 1 to 1.5 years in specialised streams — including AI, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Software Engineering. High-performing graduates who complete an additional Honours year with a research thesis may apply directly for a PhD, progressing into doctoral research without completing a full Master's first.
Entry Criteria
Grade 12: Must have 70% in Maths and one of: Computer Science, Physics, or a related Science subject (or) A Levels (or) IB (or) JEE Main Min 70th Percentile.
Study Journey from KCIC to Study Abroad
You'll build strong computing foundations alongside industry-relevant technical skills, developing core capabilities in programming, discrete mathematics, data structures, databases, and computer systems. The program builds coding fluency, algorithmic thinking, and structured problem-solving — using industry-standard tools such as Python, Java, SQL, Git, Linux, and VS Code — preparing you to operate effectively in modern, technology-driven computing environments.
Select your specialisation and progress into advanced, industry-aligned study. The program offers five pathways: Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity. Students deepen technical expertise within their chosen field, apply principles to complex computing problems, and build the critical evaluation, design, and decision-making skills needed to transition into Year 3 abroad — where specialised laboratories, research infrastructure, and industry-facing projects take centre stage.
Based on your chosen specialisation and university, you transfer abroad together as a cohort, ensuring a supported transition with familiar peers and consistent academic progression. Year 3 shifts learning from theory to application, with access to advanced laboratories — AI and robotics labs, cybersecurity suites, software engineering studios, high-performance computing clusters, and industry-facing project environments — at RMIT, UTS, Heriot-Watt, and Ulster.
In your final year, you undertake major capstone projects, research-led development, and industry-embedded placements, applying computing principles to real-world challenges across AI, cybersecurity, software systems, and data science. You work with industry-standard platforms such as TensorFlow, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile frameworks — building the expertise expected of graduate computing professionals entering global industry.
Upon graduation, students receive a full international degree and are eligible for an 18–24 month post-study work visa, allowing them to stay and seek employment. This visa permits full-time work and does not require employer sponsorship.
