Why HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering?

Electrical and Electronics plays a significant role in our daily life, the content you are reading on this electronic screen is invented by an electrical and electronics engineer. Electronic engineers work almost in every industry such as vehicle manufacturing, aerospace, electronic device manufacturing units, railways, constructions, information technology. The next generation electronics engineering is moving towards robotics and automation. It is important to learn automation, robotics and PLC to stay ahead in your career. There will be thousands of engineers required to design and build smart cities, driverless car, virtual personal assistant such as Siri in apple phone, google voice to text sensors etc. It is also recommended that electronics engineers take up programming skills such as Python/R to compliment the automation skills. HND program is designed to focus on automation and robotics skills with hands on experience.

Brief Overview of the Program

BTEC (Business & Technology Education Council - UK) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a work-related (job specific) qualification for students who desire to take their first steps into employment or are looking to gain a lateral entry into Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree programs offered by Universities in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. There are more than 1,000 university campuses in 100 countries that provide lateral admission for the final year of an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree Program.

BTEC HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Cornerstone offers guaranteed progression/lateral entry/advanced entry onto year 3 of a degree program offered by our partner universities abroad; arrangement is in place with the University of Sunderland, University of Hertfordshire in the UK. RMIT University in Australia also offers lateral/advanced entry onto their associated degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Other countries which house universities that offer advanced entry upon completion of HND qualifications include USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Japan, Czech Republic, South Africa, France, and Sweden

Cornerstone’s BTEC HND in Civil Engineering was created in collaborating with a broad range of organizations such as Alstom, Eaton, Siemens and higher education providers such as UCL, Brunel University, Coventry University College, Aston University, Teesside University and subject experts, to ensure that qualification met their needs and expectations.
