Brief Overview of the Program

BTEC (Business & Technology Education Council - UK) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architectural Technology is a work-related (job specific) qualification for students who desire to take their first steps into employment or are looking to gain a lateral entry into Architectural degree programs offered by Universities in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. There are more than 1,000 university campuses in 100 countries that provide lateral admission for the final year of a Construction Management Degree Program.

BTEC HND in Architectural Techonology at Cornerstone offers guaranteed progression/lateral entry/advanced entry onto year 3 of a degree program offered by our partner universities abroad; arrangement is in place with IT Sligo in Ireland.

Other countries which house universities that offer advanced entry upon completion of HND qualifications include USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Japan, Czech Republic, South Africa, France, and Sweden.

Our module includes techniques for construction, construction engineering, building information modelling, principles of alternative energy, electrical design, alternative construction methods, managing a professional design project, alternative energy systems, advanced building information modelling, advanced drawing and detailing, tender and procurement, advanced materials and construction data management.


A successful completion of our two year HND module is just the beginning.
